Rules and Regulations
The whole tournament adopts the latest rules issued by the International Handball Federation.
Duration of Match：60 minutes; 30 minutes each half.
All participating Men teams shall be divided in two groups under the single round robin system：(Men)Group A has 3 teams and Group B has 4 teams. The first two ranking teams of each group will proceed to the semi-final and cross play for the final by elimination, that is, first of Group A will play against second of Group B, while second in Group A will play against the first in Group B. The winners of these two matches will play against each other for the champion, while the losers will play for the third and forth placing. The remaining three teams from the preliminary round, that is, the third and forth place in Group B and the third place in Group A will play by single robin for the silver plate. The match result between the third and forth placing teams of Group B in the preliminary round will be carried forward to the silver plate and no further match will be arranged between them. For (Women) all participating teams shall be under the double round robin system.
Scoring system：Under the single round robin system, the classification shall be made on points according to their win loss records, namely 3 points for each match won, 1 point for draw match and 0 point for a match lost.
Round robin, if two teams tie on point, the winner of the match between the two teams shall be awarded the higher position. If three or more teams tie on points, the more winners of matches between the teams concerned shall be awarded the higher position. If undecided then by the goal differences in the matches among teams concerned. If still undecided goal differences of all the matches competed by teams concerned in the tournament shall be considered. If still undecided, the team with the highest number of goals scored shall be awarded the higher position.
During a match, any serious offence resulting a disqualification and written report submitted by referees, the tournament officials will consider taking a decision about further measures..
16 players are allowed at each match.
